For plumbers
An AI receptionist for plumbers
You cannot answer with your arm under a sink. It answers in your business's name, asks what you would ask, books the visit into your calendar and tells you straight away when water is coming in.

Why the phone goes unanswered
The calls that slip away
Hands full
Every call you let ring out on a job is somebody trying the next plumber on the list.
The emergencies
A burst pipe needs the postcode, whether they can turn the water off and what is getting wet. A voicemail gives you none of that.
The evenings
Leaks do not keep office hours, and neither do the people who find them.
An example
A leak, passed on as urgent
Written to show the shape of a call for this trade. It is not a recording of a real one.
Hi, there's water coming from under my kitchen sink and it won't stop.
Sorry to hear that. Have you been able to turn the water off at the stopcock?
I don't know where it is.
Okay. Is water still coming out now, and is it near anything electrical?
It's pooling on the floor, but not near anything.
I'll pass this on as urgent. Can I take the postcode?
BS7 8HP.
And your name, and is this number the best one to reach you?
Tom Reid, and yes.
Thank you, Tom. I've passed it on as urgent.

An urgent call is marked urgent and you are told straight away, by email or a notification on your phone. It never promises the caller a time.
What it asks
The questions you would ask
You write these yourself, in your own words, and change them whenever you like. These are examples of the shape they take.
A leak or a burst
- Is water coming out now, and can you turn it off at the stopcock?
- Is it near anything electrical?
- Is it coming through a ceiling?
A job to quote
- What needs doing, and is it a repair or a replacement?
- What's the postcode?
- When are you in for someone to have a look?
Someone you have worked for
- What was the job, and roughly when?
- Is it the same problem again?
What it does with the call
Something happens after every call
Books the visit
Into your Google Calendar, in the hours you allow, each kind of job the length you set. It holds the slot while the caller is still talking, so it cannot go twice.
Marks the emergencies
Water coming in is marked urgent and you are told at once, by email or a notification on your phone. Whether you go is your call.
Answers from your prices
Add your call-out charge and a price list to its knowledge base and it answers from them. What you have not told it, it does not make up.
Writes every call up
The postcode, the job and what the caller said, as a summary and a transcript you can search, sent on to Zapier or a webhook if you use one.
Questions
The ones worth asking
Including the answers that cost us something. If a limit is real we would rather you read it here than find it out on a busy day.
Will it tell callers my prices?
Only what you give it. Add your call-out charge or a price list to its knowledge base and it answers from that. If you have not told it, it says someone will get back to them.
Can it tell someone how to turn the water off?
If you write it in. It only says what you have told it, so any advice it gives is yours, in your words.
I only cover certain areas.
Write the areas you cover into its instructions and it tells a caller from outside them before taking their details.
What happens if two people ring at once?
The second caller does not get through. One number carries one call at a time: a limit of the carrier, not a setting we can change, on every plan. We would rather you read it here than find it out on a busy morning.
Can it put a caller through to me?
Not yet. Putting a caller through to a person is on the roadmap and is not in the product. Today it takes their details and what they want, and you are told straight away.
Do I keep my number?
Yes. Forward your existing number to the one we give you and keep it exactly as it is.
Do I have to set it up for my trade?
Yes: you write what it asks, in your own words, the way you would brief a new starter. The target is fifteen minutes, on your own. The questions on this page are examples of the shape they take, not a script that comes with it.
